First Look: A Very BIG BANG THEORY Christmas
Earlier today, this TV Addict posted our list of five guest stars that we’re really excited for. Well, thanks to some just obtained photos, we’re going to have to amend that list to include a sixth: Christine Baranski. Who, much to Sheldon (and our) delight will be dropping in on the gang on the December 14th very special Christmas episode of THE BIG BANG THEORY. How do Leonard and Penny feel about this? Take a guess, see for yourself by checking out some more first look photos after the jump.

'Big Bang Theory' sets syndication record, $2M per episode
[Television]Informed sources now tell me the off-network TV rights to The Big Bang Theory went for a record even bigger than first thought: $2M per episode. The breakdown is TBS paying over $1.5M and Fox broadcast stations over $500K. That shatters the previous record of $1M for a sitcom cable sale fetched by Seinfeld in its first deal with TBS.

Getting Geekier: The Evolution of “The Big Bang Theory”
[Television]That same oft-mined-nerd-joke-territory feeling comes up all through the early episodes. It's all like rehashed Revenge of the Nerds stuff, and that was already well-worn in the 1980s. Now, contrast that with what we see in seasons two and three, and it’s clear TBBT has totally aimed itself at a geek audience rather than making the easy jokes.

[General Sciences]Prof Stephen Hawking has come up with a new idea to explain why the Big Bang of creation led to the vast cosmos that we can see today. Astronomers can deduce that the early universe expanded at a mind-boggling rate because regions separated by vast distances have similar background temperatures.
