Filed under: Features In the years of TV Squad’s existence, we have covered a number television dad categories for Father’s Day. Including good dads , bad dads , single dads , cartoon dads, dads that should be women and TV dads that should be in porn. One thing we haven’t covered is TV characters that actually should be dads, but aren’t. Though nary a son or daughter among them — that they know of — there...

Filed under: TV News As expected, ABC has officially canceled the sitcom ‘Romantically Challenged,’ starring Alyssa Milano . The news was first reported last week by the Ausiello Files and seemed set in stone until Milano posted on Twitter that the announcement wasn’t official. Filed under: Celebrity Interviews Julie Berman and Dominic Zamprogna are a great reminder that soaps are about romance and couples. If you’re a fan of ‘General Hospital,’ you know why, but for those out there who are in the dark, Lulu and Dante have been through a lot together, in a very star-crossed lovers kind of way only ‘General Hospital’ can do. But their relationship finally took the  Read More →

T V watchers are a curious group, something that we at TV Squad see every day. We get questions that are as current as “When is ‘Mad Men’ coming back?” to ones that are more wistful, such as “When is ‘Shark’ coming back? Boy, I loved that James Woods!” But, our readers aren’t the only ones who are curious tube fans. We ask each other questions, ones that sometimes get answered right away and...

I have no interest in watching MTV’s ‘Jersey Shore,’ for approximately 75 reasons. But I think it can be boiled down into one sentence: why in God’s name would I want to watch ‘Jersey Shore?’ But here’s the deal: they’re making a Boston version . I live in the Boston area, born and raised, so of course I have to at least check out the first episode, right? It scares me a bit though. What are they...

Conan O’Brien’s deal with TBS may have thrown every TV pundit and pontificator for a loop, but here’s one that will make your head spin clear around your neck. (WARNING: TV Squad and its parent companies will not be held responsible for any head and/or neck trauma that may occur while reading this article). While everyone thought Conan would simply jump to Fox because it was the last remaining network without a strong late...

There are so many channels now, and so many celebrities. It seems like everyone will get a TV show at some point. But there are still some TV stars that no longer have TV shows but really should. For example, someone like Tom Selleck should have a weekly series again, and luckily he is going to return to TV in a new show on CBS . If not for that recent announcement, Selleck would have been number one on the list that follows after the jump:...

We at TV Squad have been accused of having an bias against Jay Leno. That might be true; after all, our writers are free to post their opinions on any and all news stories, and my guess is that most of our staff are not big Leno fans (in fact, Bob has said many, many, many times how much he dislikes Jay). But, one thing we’ve never denied is that the man can get an audience at 11:35. And, if anyone was fretting that Leno’s audience...

There was a great scene in ‘ The Closer ‘ in the season finale last December, in which Mary McDonnell made a guest appearance as Captain Sharon Raydor. It was all about how much their two characters disliked each other. From the TV Squad review , we wrote: “They may be on the same LAPD, but they are not sisters in blue. Pope would be wise not to keep throwing them together, although Commander Taylor and Johnson eventually worked...
